Andressa is originally from São Paulo, Brazil. She started practicing samba and tamborim in Charlotte in 2019. Samba brings Brazil to Andressa even while she's far away, she says it makes her soul alive, vibrant, and happy being in this world. Andressa was crowned Ranhia do Bateria for NCBAP in July 2021 for her service to our group and the knowledge and cultural experience she brings to our group. When she's not dancing, Andressa is a preschool teacher and spending time with her husband, Liam, and their two cats.
