Dancer, Percussionist, and Capoeirista

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Albert has spent most of his life in Charlotte, NC. He's been a samba dancer and capoeirista with NCBAP for two years now. Albert feels Afro-Brazilian art forms are liberating because of the history and connection they have to his own roots. He appreciates having the space to express himself in ways he's never been able to before. When he's not at the studio, he works as a software engineer. You might also spot him alongside the drummers during many performances!
